Aion Countdown

While the other legions sit on their laurels, Elysium has busy code monkeys hard at work on awesome features for the community. The image you see above is a snapshot of the new Aion Countdown Widget (the image above will not change, but the one in the sidebar will). Here’s the code you need:

But Night! That’s just an image! Well, yes, that’s the point. Most countdown codes today are javascript… which sucks. Most forums don’t allow javascript and many free hosts don’t allow it either. So we set up an uber little hamster with l337 skillz with a direct link to our server. Every night he updates the image to display the days left until the launch of Aion: The Tower of Eternity.*

* Elysium does not employ slave hamster labor. There is, in fact, a cron job and php script that edits the image each night.
