The easy explanation is that while hackers need to only find a single point of the game to exploit, the developers need to keep their eyes on the entire system to make sure nobody meddles with the game parameters/etc. We can do two things:

1. Work to ensure that the features we develop are as secure as we can make them. This is a given, but it is impossible for any programmer to predict all possible scenarios.

2. Fix any holes that are discovered as soon as we can.

The development team is doing both, and will keep doing both. We will be doing our share in trying to keep a very low latency with hot fixes and patches. I'm very confident that the version we will launch with here in the west will have come a long way in regards to security, content and functionality; there will however always be exploiters drilling our hull, and another one of our priorities will always be to make sure that they are handled appropriately.
