In 2009 Aion will be released and we’ll all be playing the game (finally!). A complete list of servers, specifically their names and locations, hasn’t been made publicly available yet by NCsoft. When it is, however, I was going to invite AionSource.com’s members to play on one server.

You all, and your legions, have been around for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to establish yourselves as leaders in a primarily Asmodian-dominated legion landscape. With the exception of {CE), Chosen Existence (Shade’s legion), most of you seem to be US/Canada/North American-based and have members from the same general area.

What I’d like to propose to you, and perhaps extend to other Elyos legions upon your recommendations, is an informal alliance of sorts (since Aion doesn’t support actual Alliances, a la GuildWars). Upon NCsoft’s grand revealing of Aion, and consequently the publishing of a server list, we would collectively, but quietly, choose a server to play on. After all of your legionmembers have created their accounts on said server, assuming NCsoft allows us to pre-make characters like the Koreans did, then we could publicly and informally/nonchalantly announce which server you’ve chosen.

This will allow Elyos legions to band together on one server and cooperatively do what otherwise may not be doable alone, split up on other servers: be competitive (or even dominating) against a rowdy, angry, so-called “hardcore” mob of Asmodian legions.

Of course, this is just conjecture until I get your opinions on this matter. I have server forums set up here on AionSource.com in such a way that they can easily handle a large community focusing on a single server if needed. I can also modify AionSource.com’s GameComm server to support this “Alliance”, or configure a Vent/TS server instead. I can enable you all to work together for maximum mutual benefit, but I can’t make you cooperate.
