Open beta dates?

anyone know what are the dates for open beta? i'm filling out my work schedule and was trying to get off so I can level with my fellow asmodians ( I don't wan to get left behind like I have been in the closed beta =( <-- totally my fault, always working during the dates lol)

i'm confused with the open beta, supposingly pre-order players get to have 48 hours headstart before it goes live, right?
Typically a MMO cycle is that OB then turned retail within a day, does it mean that OB ends 2 days before retail version? And there's no server wipe? How do we pre-select the character and name?

The way I remember it usually happens the games I played is OB goes for however long it does and then it ends about a week or so before the game releases so they can work on the server stability issues they found in the OB and get ready for head start and then retail release. I am not sure how the preselection will work but the servers will be wiped before head start, I am almost 100% sure. I am guessing preselction will happen about a day before headstart.

I read that you'll access your 48 hr head start through your beta key, and then when you receive your actual retail key you'll add that to your account via the ncsoft website master account.
Thus, it will go something like this: CBT 6 [end], OB [starts whenever and ends], then Head start [20 Sep via beta key]. Like Lanzo the great said, everything will be wiped, according to NCsoft there will be no way to hold on to your characters.

It makes sense that they will wipe all the toons after the OB then we will select our permanent toon during pre-selection.

I think if you have the closed beta key, you will have the head start and be able to pick your name before others that didn't have the closed beta key. Don't think you go to a specific website or anything, but I'm not 100% sure since no definite info has been released about open beta as of yet.
You will most likely have to fight over names between those that have been playing closed beta, instead of everyone that will play.

I don't think there is a site you go to. I think you log into the game, select a server and make your character(s). The pre-selection isn't just for getting your name, you can make your whole character. I hope they let use make more then one.

I hope I am available the moment pre-selection starts. My two perferred names were taken for CB6.

I am curious too but I don't think anything offical has been released yet. We are not even sure if it will be dates or just one date ... or how long it/they will be.
