Looking for design stuff or development stuff. For design, I go here for inspiration: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/

Development is a completely different issue. Need more detail for suggestions in that area.

Step 1: Get you a bit torrent client.
Step 2: Get Dreamweaver (does the HTML for you)
Step 3: download a Lynda.com video tutorial that suits you the best.

This of course is the "fast track" method.

Otherwise enjoy learning by book and/or experience at the expense of lots and lots of time! Perhaps try to audit a college level course?

I am thinking of doing that... but that means a lot more schooling for me. I already have political science, philosophy, history and government. These courses are extremely hard and time consuming especially political science and philosophy.

Thanks for the website thus far. I am still reading through the first website, there is a lot of stuff....

I recommend finding a good CMS (content management system) if you're new to the scene. It makes things much easier and more organized. Some I suggest are Drupal (I believe this site actually uses Drupal,) Joomla!, or PHP Nuke.

I am already familiar with Joomla! amd also nuke so those might be what I would use if I ever want to create a website. Have not heard much about Drupal....might look into that.

If you're actually developing then I suggest Drupal over Joomla. Wordpress is also quite good if you're not doing a community-based site. Why don't you list what skills you currently have and what you're aiming for. I can suggest more books and sites then.

Well I have experience with PhP Nuke and I have slightly used dreamweaver before though I have no experience what so ever with css.
