Thought i'd post about it. We have a saltwater tank and after a month of struggle, our hippo tang died. Had him since he was just a baby. Very sad day. Even if he is just a fish, I miss him already. 
Pic below isn't him, but close. He was a gorgeous fish.

He was a gorgeous fish! Sorry hes gone... i dont know what will happen when my dog dies... she just turned one so hopefully its not for a loooooong time

Awww, when I was a teenager my dad had a 55 gallon tank with two of these black fish with the really big eyeballs and they would swim in awesome formations around each other. Then one of them died because of old age. And the other one was just so sad for awhile and he ended up dying shortly there after. It was so sad.

My 2 clownfish are lost without their adopted brother. He used to hang around with them like he was one. And i never intended on having a 'nemo' tank.. Loved the clowns, found them at two shops. They're now a mated pair. Also had numerous chromis.. started with 3 and they'd school, lost 1 (jumped out when they were being fed and couldn't find it) and the remaining 2 fought. Added a few more, didn't work. Apparently even numbers are bad. All of them died eventually. Had a royal gramma.. didn't quarantine her.. she had ich and died in a few days. Thankfully didn't spread that. Got a lawnmower blenny and he was a little thin. He never recovered, just kept getting skinnier. Bought the tang because it's what I wanted. He was maybe 2 1/2 inches long. Think i'm just sticking with the clowns now and working on building up the coral more.
