ia anyone...?
Is anyone aware if thers a healing reduction debuff that Glads can give to there selected enemy targets?
haha exsactly , it would be a great aspect exspecially looking from the right side of the debuff >:}
I hated that move because it was so powerful. I was lucky I was a paladin and had ways around it (BoP). But still, it was definately a pain.
more than the debuff tho... it was big damage.
charge > hamstring > heroic strike > mortal strike > heroic strike > overpower > execute = dead rogue :(
I really hope they dont have it just because I dont want them to be copying WoW. It would be nice if they gave some class something that hindered healing effects, but I dont want another WoW clone. Not trying to bash you, but people always say this stuff in games now since WoW came out. Well why cant I have flight paths, wow had it. Why cant I have an execute because I had that in WoW. So many games try to copy the juggernaut and I want a totally new experience (maybe im biased because of my hatred for wow.)

I appreciate your bias. WoW isn't perfect and tbqh i feel iv'e been spoiled on my hunter. Not that i win every fight or anything but it is an extremely easy class to play. One can still hone thier skills with it however to maximize skill usage and optimize rotations. Its going to be quite a shock to go back to the (and i swear Ken Choi said this) 'Life is hard so why should our game be much different?' take on character progression/skillset. Rangers in Aion seem to have some decent skills but the cast times look to be much longer than the barrage of instas iv'e gotten used to in WOW. I don't want Aion to be like WOW either and i really want them to carve thier own specific niche not only in the MMO market in general but within thier own product line.
sorry if i hijacked your thread er GLADS GLADS GLADS!
Yes, that perspective by Ken Choi was just ridiculous. There are so many elements that are "unrealistic." That's why I've never really understood situations in games that could really frustrate a gamer. Yes, a challenge, while gaming...but things like having to buy ammo--I don't know. Let's just pretend I ran to town and bought some ammo -.-
You had to make me go look this up, didn't you... Well, as far as I can see on any of the skill charts I look at, there's no such debuff for reduced healing unless there's a poison or rune, i.e. Assassin. I don't fully understand either poison or rune systems, so I won't claim expertise. Then again, the same lists I research are premature and likely incomplete.

I have played Lineage 2 for the last 4-5 years on and off. In that game you had to buy supplies all the time! And ive gotta say that MADE the game not BRAKE it. Seriously! I played two classes a gladiator and a hawkeye. Gladiator is a quick dual wielding all about DPS. A masterful glad was the shit! It had great selfbuffs and some ranged skills aswell! But to use most of his attacks, he had to use "Charge" skill. Up to lvl 5 if im not mistaken. So you could charge up 5 charges and some of the best skills took some of those charges to excecute. For instance "Sonic tripple slash" took 3 charges (if im not mistaken, been a while). Seems like an ok system, but the thing is some of the best skills also consumed energy stones, which was a consumable. You could buy them in shops.
When it comes to Hawkeyes, they are archers, and had to buy their ammo. The ammo could be bought from shops, got as drops or even bought from crafting players. And it worked! It really did!
Another consumable was the so called "Soulshots" and "spiritshots". Basically it was another consumable that was used in battle, it imbues your weapon (soulshot) or magical spell (spiritshot) with extra damage dealing potential. And different weapons used different amount of shots per succesful hit. Once again, they could be bought from shops and players alike. Think of them as "batteries" for your weapon. And they worked like a charm! There is nothing more adrenaline pumping than the feeling you are about to run out of shots/stones/arrows and that mini-raidboss you took on all by yourself is also about to die.
I say YAY for consumables, not nay. It seriously improves the game market situation and economics too.
see all iv played is wow , and war , both of wich i played "gladiator like" classes , such as pally and swordmaster , warrior and now dk , pretty much any 2hnd mad crazy burst dmg is good for me , and that beeing said gladiator in aion will be the class for me , my only ONLY wish is that thye make 2hnd glad dps wiable for raids/pve in aion , i dont want no duel weilding glad spec bs , imo , and of coarse ..... a healing reduction buff for pvp , and certain boss fights in game such... yes
