Greetings, Everyone!
Hello, all. You guys can call me Kierke (pronounced Kee-erk), or K, or Kirk, or whatever else you'd like. I honestly don't have a preference.
To start off, I suppose it would be best if I tell you all a little about myself. My name is Jake and I am currently going to college down in Florida as I study for my degree in, well, nothing; I'm currently undecided and have no earthly idea of what I should pick. In my spare time, I can either be found doing random crap on the Internet or playing Aion, obviously. To be honest,I really don't have that great of a diversity in my extracurricular activities. However, I'm definitely not a bore. I'm pretty well read and have interests in a variety of topics such as philosophy, literature, art, music, and a bunch of other snooty crap. I have a pretty good sense of humor and can usually get a good laugh or chuckle out of you if I need to. I'm always willing to help out a friend if needed, whether they just need some assistance in game or could use a kind word or two to get them through a tough time.
My history in gaming goes pretty far back. The first ones I can remember playing were those old Reader Rabbit educational games, which really don't count, but they helped me to develop my love for RPG games, as odd as that may sound. Since then, I've been a fan of practically every video game genre such as FPS, RTS, platformers, adventure games, and obviously, MMORPGs. I've been playing MMO games probably since I was back in middle school. If I can remember correctly, my first one was EQ. I would play that game off and on since I was going through some pretty difficult years, but it left an impact on me and my tastes in video games. After I was done with EQ, I moved on into Guild Wars. This game was the first MMO that I actually got pretty involved in. I was able to finish the endgame content (I was still pretty young, so this was a big accomplishment for little 'ole me) and become an integral part of an active guild. I played GW for maybe a year and half, until I eventually set MMOs aside and started to focus on real life matters as I started my 4 years of high school. After that, it was basically WoW and nothing else. I was able to get to level 80, but I was never too fond of the game for probably the same reasons that everyone else has.
So that brings me to today. I'm currently playing an Asmodian Chanter named Kierke, and I'm loving every minute of it. Aion has been such a breath of fresh air after playing WoW. I have no plans on leaving and look forward to getting more involved in the game and its community as it develops.
Well, that's it. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions that you'd like me to answer. I'll be browsing this forum pretty regularly awaiting a response, so expect a quick reply.
Thanks :)
PS: I'm pretty sure that this doesn't need asking, but this legion is for the Zikel server, correct? I found your listing in the AionSource server directory, but I've found several ones on there that were mislabeled.
Hi and welcome! I'll be moving to Florida in about a week to take on a new job.l
Hi there and welcome! Great intro btw and yes the asmo side is on Zikel. Post around and welcome aboard!
Thanks! I couldn't before, but I eventually found somewhere on the site that said which server you guys were on. Good thing I was correct, because I'm really excited to be a part of Elysium.

Haha, prepare to be disappointed. The worst thing you can do before moving to Florida is to have any expectations at all. And I'm serious here. If you come expecting palm trees, sandy beaches, and Disney World, then you'll be in for a big upset. The weather here is humid for most of the year, a good chunk of the state is ugly swampland, and the people here can be so backwards it's rediculous. If you're lucky, you're moving to the peninsula where things are better from what I've been told. However, if you're coming to the panhandle region where I live, well, may God have mercy upon your soul.
Lol I live in south Louisiana and think all the same things can be said about here too. hehe welcome to the south
Welcome to the forums of Elysium, your avatar makes me chuckle when i look at it
Quick question: how do I get the password for the TeamSpeak server? I've been searching all over for it and nothing's come up.
welcome to the forums,
that information is in the member only section (as we dont want it being openly available to the mass public). As far as giving it out to persons not in the legion yet, im not sure what the policy is.
So when will I be notified that I've been accepted into the legion? Do I just keep posting or there some sort of interview that I'm supposed to go through?
for me a feather just appeared under my name. Just keep posting in the forums you have access to and if you can try and group up with some legion members. It should be quick, right now we are just trying to get all the current members into the legion who have yet to get in.
