Introduction Guidelines for Applicants and Current Members
Applicants
Elysium is a highly active legion with a great deal of members, and limited space in-game. If you want to be seriously considered for membership, it will take more than a one-liner. Write us a paragraph or two telling us why you deserve a spot, what you bring the table, and who you are. Use the vision for inspiration. Even if you've been sent here from in-game, already told that you have a spot waiting for you, we like to get to know our members and a good introduction is key to breaking the ice.
Examples of past applications:
Please note that if you are applying as a couple you should link to each others' introductions at the bottom of your post. It is also helpful to include your name in the title of your introduction thread.
Members
Our applicants put a lot of time into their introductions and are likely anxiously awaiting our decision. Your reactions to these posts weigh heavily on our decision to accept or decline an application. Read these introductions fully, take time to reply, ask questions, and get to know the applicant. If you love them, make it clear. If you have major complaints, make those clear as well.
While a simple welcome or hello is polite, it does not give us any more knowledge about the applicant or your opinion of them. Therefore, refrain from simple one-line welcome statements, and keep the application section succinct and informative.
