I dug up an interesting thread about ranger stigmas you might find useful. Because of the overall expensiveness of certain ranger stigmas, many players are forced to come up with different builds. They sometimes refer to them as hybrid builds. This thread discusses the different types of builds (more for end-game of course), as either the Burst (Bestial Fury + Lethal Shot), Tactical (Heart Shot + various situational skills), or Hybrid (something in between the two).

One thing mentioned is that a significant disadvantage of the putting Bestial Fury is the reduction in range. If you notice that your opponent has it on, it is then apparently easy to step outside of their range, effectively nullifying their damage, and if you are a ranger, you can then kill them since you do not have the range reduction.

Thanks for compiling this. It will be very helpful to poor people like me that don't make as much money as some others. I wanted a toon on Siel and it just so happens that I chose Ranger.

Been doing a lot of reading and I guess I'm going to have to save up for both BF and FS in the end. Luckily I have quite a way to go before I have to think about those stigmas.
